Mission

St. Alban's members serve our community and world in two main ways: through our Outreach Center and through our own local ministry partnerships.

St. Alban's Outreach Center (321 N. 30th St.)

The St. Alban’s Outreach Center welcomes our outreach partners in ministry into the space formerly used by St. Alban’s Memorial School. For questions, please contact Lori Youngblood, our Business Manager. From the Outreach Center, we are pleased to minister with and to:

Central Texas String Academy

Using the Suzuki method, the Central Texas String Academy (CTSA) teaches children to play stringed instruments, mainly during the afternoon hours. CTSA students and instructors contribute to the worship life at St. Alban’s by playing in our highly attended Advent Worship for the Evening, which is an annual gift to the city of Waco. CTSA students also form an orchestra for occasional worship services and individual students provide music during communion, mainly during the spring. For more information, see www.centraltexasstringacademy.com

12 Step Programs

Numerous 12 Step Programs use the Outreach Center for their meetings, such as Al-Anon, Al-A-Teen and Overeaters Anonymous. For more information, see http://centexintergroup.com.

Community Race Relations Coalition (CRRC)

The Community Race Relations Coalition is a diverse group of citizens and organizations based in Waco, Texas whose mission is to promote racial and cultural awareness through dynamic outreach to strengthen our community.

Local Ministry Partnerships

We partner with the following organizations. Please contact our Deacon, Alberto Melis, for information about volunteering with one of these ministries.

Cedar Ridge Elementary

Our Education Parter via Waco ISD, St. Alban's members can tutor children, make meals, and collect school supplies to benefit the students and families of Cedar Ridge.

The Cove

Volunteers are invited to do periodic projects to help maintain the facilities at The Cove, a place for homeless teens in Waco ISD.

reVision

Volunteers sign up to meet weekly with a youth incarcerated at the facility in Mart, Texas, 20 miles from Waco. These mentoring relationships are transformative for the youth and the mentor. Volunteers receive training from the staff of reVision, a Houston-based ministry with 20 years experience in the field.

St. Alban's RideShare

Volunteers serve homebound members and those without transportation (like college students) by providing transportation to and from St. Alban's on Sundays for worship.
