February 13, 6:00 PM
Shrove Tuesday (also known as Mardi Gras) is the last day before Lent. Thus, before we begin the Lenten fast, it has long been a custom to feast on Shrove Tuesday.
Join us on February 13 for a Cajun feast and pancake supper as we celebrate Shrove Tuesday and prepare for Lent. There will be a suggested donation of $5 per individual and $10 per family with all donations going towards the Capital Campaign and All Saints, Nambiti, Malawi.
Children are invited to participate in the burning of the palms from last year's Palm Sunday services. This will provide the ashes for Ash Weds services. Additionally, chidren will march in our "Alleluia" parade--they parade an Alleluia Banner, which they then bury in the courtyard. This is to signify the practice of not saying Alleluia during worship services during the season of Lent.
- Gumbo with smoked turkey, andouille, and shrimp
- Amaretto Bread Pudding

12 Noon - Holy Eucharist with Imposition of Ashes

February 14 we will begin the season of Lent with Ash Wednesday services at 12 PM and 7 PM.
Ash Wednesday is one of the most powerful services in the Church year. Join us as we confess our sins, remember our mortality, and hear about the love of God for a broken world.
Children are welcome at both services. Nursery care provided for ages 0-4.
Note: Wednesday Bible Study will still meet at 10:15 AM in the Parish Hall. There will be no 11:30 AM Eucharist in Higgins Chapel. The Becoming the Beloved Community Event begins at 3:00 PM (see below) and all are welcome. Evening Prayer begins in the church at 5:30 PM.
