SPRING 2017

  • "Beloved Children/Bad Christians: A Study of 1 Corinthians" (Jan. 8-May 21, 2017)

Life is full of messes. So is the church. And our families. Where is God when we suffer? When we sin? When we (and our institutions or marriages) go off the rails? The Apostle Paul wrote his first letter to a Christian community in Corinth asking the same questions. Join us as we dive into a fascinating, passionate, controversial, surprising, shocking, and very practical letter. We’ll seek to understand it as a whole text, not isolated verses (i.e., 1 Cor. 13). We’ll discover a God who can handle our messes, offer grace and strength, and helps us in our everyday lives. Never read the Bible before? No worries. The class aims to make the text accessible through cultural and historical background. Know the Bible really well? Great! Come share your insights. All are welcome. And bring a Bible.

  • NO CLASSES MARCH 5 (SPRING BREAK), APRIL 9 (PALM SUNDAY), OR APRIL 16 (EASTER)

SMALL GROUPS

Get Connected Today!

Are you new to St. Alban's and are interested in our Small Groups? Below you will find information about joining the small group that is right for you. Just follow the steps and we will make sure you get connected.

First, browse our Leader Biographies.

Next, choose between 3 and 5 of those leaders that interest you and contact the church office with those names. You will hear back about the Small Group you will be in.

Lastly, reach out to the leader and find what times they meet. If you need to switch groups, contact the church office again and they will help you find the best fit for you!

About Small Groups

These groups are led by St. Alban's members and meet in homes. Groups meet at different times during the week, some meet Sunday after church, others on Sunday evenings, and others on a weeknight.  These groups are a time for people to get to know others and to discuss the Bible readings from that Sunday. We also pray for each other and use a beautiful brief service called Compline from The Book of Common Prayer. Groups meet September through May.

If you'd like to join a small group (or are thinking about it), contact the church office.
