On Wednesday evenings in mid-June to mid-July, we will be reading through what is known as the “Jacob Cycle,” the stories of Genesis 25–35 that tell the story of Jacob (and Esau, Rebekah, Isaac, Rachel, and Leah). This will be a discussion-based class that reads these stories primarily as rich storytelling. That doesn’t mean we won’t chase down the occasional historical rabbit-trail or linguistic curiosity, but we will primarily be reading the Jacobs stories as an invitation into the stories that of a rather imperfect man called by God. Taught by Dr. Rachel Toombs.
More updates to come regarding when this study will begin.
